Survivor 34: An Officer and a Gentle Lineman -- Episode 11 Recap/Analysis

It's Derby weekend in Kentucky and as the castaways approach the home stretch, we're back to handicap the latest odds. Is it still just a two-horse race, and if so, who's the front-runner? Having blindsided yet another Brooklynite, might Andrea have jumped to the front of the pack too early? And even if she's next out, has she already put up Hall of Fame numbers? All that and more below, here, or on iTunes here.

  1. Loving the podcast. I will point out... Intro confessionals in the opening sequence are no longer that important any more. The Opening Sequence Confessionals are more to introduce the theme.

Brad Culpepper says: We all changed the game, so in this season you gotta go big or go home.

That's more for the sake of the theme than the sake of Brad's edit.

The arrival at camp Confessionals are WAY more important.

And look at how much we learned from Sarah's opening confessionals:

1.) What season she played on: "I played on Survivor: Cagayan".

2.) What her profession is: "I'm a police officer".

3.) What kind of player she was/is: "I have a phenomenal social game... I can read people."

4.) What her strategy will be this time around: "I'm going to be like the silent assassin.

5.) How far she is willing to go to win: "This time I'm playing like a criminal... My word is not my bond this time."

That's everything you want to see in a player's opening confessional!

    Keep up the good work!
