Survivor 31: Mid-Season Report with Antonio Mazzaro

It's merge time in Cambodia and with Dom out mentoring up-and-coming pickpockets via song and dance, Antonio Mazzaro sits in to talk through each remaining player and evaluate who's looking like a winner and who's looking like the latest victim of a classic Big Move. Plus, was the early merge a happy coincidence for Savage or was it preferential treatment?  Why doesn't anyone seem concerned about hidden immunity idols? And could Survivor continue without Jeff Probst? All that and more below, here, or on iTunes here.

  1. Hi guys,
Still listening to the podcast but I had to comment immediately at how nice it was to hear someone FINALLY address the "early merge" (and was that JP just trying to help his buddy Andrew) because I've been wondering that myself. Almost as much as I've been wondering how it was that Andrew and not Shane got voted in in the first place (I sure the hell never voted for him, actually went out of my way to not vote him, because even in the video he seemed like a cocky b). I heard it said before on another podcast that CBS has the final call when it came to all the votes. So its very conceivable JP made the call to send Andrew out there anyways when he didn't get the votes. Its so obvious they are really close. Even Andrew's story about how his daughters went ga ga over Joe?? Well now we know why JP made that comment at the World's Apart Reunion about Joe being the new "hot thing" (I forget how he put it) and everyone wondering why Jeff even said that cause at the time it wasn't like he was Malcom or even close. Well now we know Jeff and Andrew must have spoken before the finale and that's where Jeff got his info from. Its a sad situation on the part of Survivor and while I don't want to believe it, I do.
